Chrysler is actually prolonging the bursting of the Fiat-bubble.
If Fiat abandoned Chrysler, it'd be bankrupt in an instant, as Fiat are actually doing very, very badly.
On the MPG front : EU car ratings are measured with the most expensive / high octane gas.
They aren't designed for E10, so MPG usually drops when using E10 - one of the reasons why the E10 introduction in Germany failed massively.
Use gas without ethanol and the highest octane for best mpg if that's what you want.
Calculate your price / mile depending on the difference in fuel price and difference in MPG, if minimal cost is what you are looking for.
