Congrats Dave! Your story encourages me to finally beat 1000 miles on one tank. Berta's tank is 16 gallons so I don't think I'll be able to beat your almost 1700 miles on one tank, but I'll try to stretch my tank to go for 1700km (1056.34 miles) someday.
