Sorry to bump a slightly old thread, but I just bought a 2010 EX automatic (sad face when it comes to fun) but per my SGII I've been getting between 39-43 MPG on my 40 mile 75% highway 25% city commute. It's pretty easy to keep it in 5th gear going as slow as 40mph. For the record, at least in my area, it's pretty much impossible to find a manual 8th gen civic in anything but a DX or Si. I wanted four wheel disk brakes and factory alloys, so I settled for an automatic.
