Filled up again, and this tank was a reasonable 62.8mpg despite being stuck in traffic for (what seemed like) 3 days... 3 separate 260 mile round trips where the return was horrible traffic... witnessed two separate accidents; one happened to the car behind me (he/she was rear-ended by a truck; thankfully not forcefully enough to also hit me) and one happened to a car about 5 or 6 lengths ahead of me (he/she rear-ended another car which was stopped in a queue to exit the roadway; the struck car was slung across all 4 lanes from right side to the left side and luckily stopped by the center divider from entering the next 4 lanes with oncoming traffic). Fortunately no serious injuries though I think some occupants will be quite sore. Despite all the stop and go and more focus on staying safe in traffic than on FE, I am happy with the tank.
I see that our friend Vekke leaped to the top of the board with his super-modified Lupo... well-deserved, I should say, with all the work he has put into his car.
