Well, since we don't know how the fishing turned out -- and it wouldn't matter too much with this kind of improvement as all Southern boys love a road trip -- it appears a success in all ways. Git 'ur dun, indeed.

How's it do with the 18-wheeler bow wave and backwash? I'd be pretty concerned if I came up on something like this and thought that the car rear axle might get light as I passed. It would change my plan for passing (Interstate). This has to do with the increase in side "sail area" and the leverage, thus, out past the rear axle.
