A nearby municipality has been setting speed limits at 25MPH on rural roads for many years. These are roads that have maybe 10 houses/driveways per mile, rolling through farm fieds, open sightlines. In other words, no reason on earth for a 25MPH speed limit. Other than easy pickings for the local constabulary, who get to hand out tickets for higher amounts over the "speed limit". Better still, they move the signs around to different roads every year or so.

I have a lot of sympathy for people trapped by this outrageous stunt. (No I have not gotten a ticket.)
