Altough the Amazonas uses a way smaller engine than the Boss Hoss, it's incredibly heavy. Well, retrofitting EFI wouldn't be so hard, considering that an MPFI setup was factory-fitted in the Mexican Beetle and the Brazilian Kombi, there were even some dedicated-ethanol versions. It would also be better to get MPFI instead of TBI while running on ethanol, to avoid the intake manifold to freeze and eventually get choked with built-up ice.
