Yeah, they forgot part 2 of all their experiments. If they can not replicate the myth (by getting a 100% improvement in MPG) then they work on trying to replicate the results (by actually further modifying the car to get 100%+ improvement).
Switching to standard transmission car would be a step in the right direction.
