Leading edge air dam?

Question for you guys;

I am dropping the chin air dam on my car to match the lowest portion of my pan (2013 C-Max). I need to drop it 3 inches. The question I have for you is, would it be best to make the air dam configured in a way that the bottom edge is further forward than the top therefore creating a bit of a ramp to sweep the air upward over the nose, rather than a flat vertical surface? I am thinking to make the lower edge about 1 inch ahead of the rest of the dam. So, there would just be a modest ramp affect (I want to make sure it looks ok).

What are your thoughts?

Matt
