3)Just today I removed my mirrors and want that effect to kick in for a few more miles.
4) only had 250 or so miles on this tank so far. With a 600+ mile range I want to run the tank lower. The more miles I use to calculate mileage the lower the margin of error is.
5) I'm shooting for a 70mpg tank so I wanted some best case scenerio miles added.
Jeeze, am I getting to anal about this? Obsessed? ![EEK!](/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif)

If you want to fill the tank, then just fill it. If you want to drive somewhere just to go there then that is your choice. I drive-ride to places I do not HAVE to go all the time, but then I don't feel like living like a hermit.
My Fiesta is sitting in the garage after our little vacation to Ocean City. I try to ride the bike whenever the weather permits and the wife is not coming along. Nasty weather and I drive the Fiesta. I try to limit the truck to trips that need it's capabilities since it gets half the mileage of the bike.
I will do short fills when I have done something which might improve my mileage.
