Would emissions regulations help? A modern car has nearly eliminated the majority of emissions except C02. And now there are regulations in place to increase fuel economy and lower C02 by 2027? I see no reason why a motorcycle can't be cleaner than a car.

Now that EFI and catalysts are getting mainstream even in low-displacement motorcycles, the difference in emissions per gallon is getting lower.
