I have a "lip" at the top of the Jurock windshield on my Majesty scooter. It does work to divert airflow above the normal lines of the windshield. I see the visible evidence of this when riding in the rain. The old windshield I removed did not have the additional lip on it. Water would run up the windshield then fall down onto my legs. This doesn't happen with the lip on the new wind shield. It also helps to divert bugs(as well as water) up and around the sides better than the old windshield. Both are the same height and width, with the only difference being the reverse edge at the top of the new one.I look over both of them, but there is much less turbulence for me riding with the newer windshield.
