Yup.
The internet has given us several generations of instant "experts" with encyclopedic knowledge of any topic, given the time and bandwidth required to look them up. (Guilty as charged. But then my motoring life began in the club forums when we enthusiasts went digital all those years ago...)
The difference between the knowledgeable and the wise is knowing how to filter and use all that information.
What's nice about forums like these is that they act as an arena in which said information can be processed and analyzed. And there are people here whose experience and unique personal knowledge enrich the discussion greatly.
I can honestly say I've learned a hell of a lot from you guys. Which is why I stick around despite having a few other sites to moderate and discuss in.
While the discussion can sometimes get contentious, I've always found the debate reasonably civil compared to the rabble filling most other motoring forums.
