I tend to dismiss things as me being old and grumpy. I may be twice your age, but I am not old yet, although definitely grumpy.

If you got a Master's, would you have a longer contract?

As for the difficulty of finding a job, I was hired at the first place that I ever applied, Burger King, back in 1997. Once I was an adult and had more bills to pay, it was much more difficult. I would hear of places opening up and receiving thousands of applications.

Hopefully it is less competitive now.

When I was in Germany, I researched in-demand careers, and Speech-Language Pathology was on every list. After I graduate, I need to earn a certification to be a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. I would earn about the same as I did when I graduated six years ago, but it would be full-time.
