60 MPG isn't normal for this car. I'm able to HM mile to about 50 MPG commuting on a regular basis, but that one tank was over the top and included some extra driving on an efficient part of my commute.
Having said that, I'm extremely pleased with this car! Optima is a nice looking sedan, but definitely bigger than you need for one. My Cruze has just me in it about 99% of the time.
