Could not even leave my house this morning - the driveway was blocked by some truck changing the street lights. They moved it a bit, eventually.

They also cut the trees (that were over 20 meters high) in our street, that was not easy. Weeks of disrupted traffic.

They just finished work on the sewage system(*), opening the sidewalk(**) for about three weeks on end. Luckily they left my driveway accessible - just. Unless they needed a place to store all the road signs and barriers and other stuff. At one occasion I must confess I grew so angry that I threw that stuff in one of their pits.

This all happened this year.

(*) Off topic but nonetheless: they blew through the system three times, each time flooding our restrooms and bathroom and filling the whole house with a perfume of H2S. At or before breakfast time.
(**) Cutting away at it with an angle grinder, which covered our front garden in fine dust and make a stone jump and hit our living room window with a loud bang, but no apparent damage. Yet. You never can tell with glass.

These hard working men are just doing their jobs. There's nothing to it than to sit it out and endure the carnage.
