Imperial gallon, I'd wager. 29MPG times the UK/US correction factor (.833) yields about 24.1 MPG. Not awful, but not quite as impressive.

Just so you're clear, RR is owned by BMW and Bentley is owned by VW/Audi. They're not the same company anymore.
