the CVCC head is amazing, but it does not work well with fuel injection because the main intake goes to the combustion chamber and the spark plug is NOT in the combustion chamber, it's off to the side with it's own intake that gets a rich mix of gas that then spreads to the lean mix in the main combustion chamber, when that is done the engine run cool and smooth, when you start messing with it you burn valves, you blow head gaskets and ruin engines.
The CVCC engine did other stuff, like fuel cut off on deceleration and had a factory warm air intake.

In Japan, there was a fuel injected CVCC engine. If I remember correctly, it was the EW5 engine used in the CRX/Civic 1.5i. It had a 5th injector for the aux valves/chambers.
