The "one small modification" and outrageous goal smacks of the "one weird trick" ads and overunity videos on YouTube.

Now, you may have something going on that none of us do. You might be an unheralded internal combustion genius who will set the world on its ear - and in light of our current environmental mess, I welcome the economic hurricane that would raise. It would be worth it.

But until you actually post some records in the garage on your car's fuel log, until you tell us a little bit about your one simple mod, I'm mentally filing you under Unicorn even if you aren't there officially.

Any kind of specificity would be very welcome. It would help us take you seriously. You need not even fear for your idea's propriety; publishing in this venue would establish provenance and a timeline from your idea to you. So go ahead, tell us what's up.
