I think that a lot of the problem stems from the fact that EcoModder.com messages tend to superficially resemble spam. I have no trouble at all with Gmail with messages being sent from "EcoModder.Com" <webmaster@ecomodder.com>, for instance, but anything that falls outside of that seems to give Gmail fits. For instance, email that fits the pattern of "firstnameonly" <firstnameonly@ecomodder.com> would tend to be flagged.
I'd also strongly recommend to the Admin team to pass moderation-type messages using PM, either in addition to or instead of using emails. It seems that Gmail's spam filter also classifies moderation messages from here as spam.
