The Yaris Hybrid and the 2014 Fit both have a 1.5 l engine. The current Fit has a smaller engine, but is less economical.
The new Fit has some clever aero tricks, has a more efficient gearbox and the ability to switch the EV motor/generator to a gear that suits it best, unlike the current Honda system and unlike Toyota's HSD system. I think Toyota will drop that for a dual-clutch system soon.
