I think I have compensated for the warmup time with the grille block, as I could not run it with the EGR enabled without my temperature rising over 200 before I got to work.

Shoot I should have posted this with my last reply.
I have not noticed any change in MPG with EGR off but I drive 90mi to and from work.
I have blocked 90% of the grill the only thing open is the 1in slot at the very bottom of the bumper and the inter cooler. When I blocked the lower slot I could get the temp to get to 205 and it will sit there after about 25mi driving. That was with a stock 185f tstat now I have a 195 and it warms up a little faster but I have not tried doing a full block yet as it has been to warm but I might try it again in a few weeks.
