That would help, but the event is rigidly structured as at Bonneville, with standing start only.
My single brain synapse fired last night and it struck me that CAR and DRIVER might help me with fee testing, as back in '91,running on the Chrysler Proving Grounds oval. The CRX reached top speed there,I'm sure it would be the same for the truck.
Also, long ago,the director out at Bridgestone/Firestone Proving Grounds,Ft.Stockton,Texas told me that the facility could be rented, along with a service bay at reasonable cost. They even offered to 'lock-down' the place to keep prying eyes away if desired.
It's closer to home, and I could tow the trailer, carrying the boat tail inside the truck, and test both trailer and fully boat-tailed truck back-to-back within a brief period.
It can be very windy out there, but at the speeds I might achieve it might not be a safety issue.
