Mine said it was the same, it was underdrive. had to go with 1-2 inch shorter belts.

The flywheel helps bump starting slightly, engine braking is increased slightly (more in tune with other drivers though), idle is the same. Shifting is a huge difference though. I clutch-less shift, so the wait between gears is a lot less. This is where the gain is, less time out of gear. I wouldn't recommend it without a short shifter, even then you have to be faster. It does take some getting used to, I stalled it more times than I care to think about the first week. If you drive in town, its a plus, highway mainly, not so much.
