Mine said it was the same, it was underdrive. had to go with 1-2 inch shorter belts.

The flywheel helps bump starting slightly, engine braking is increased slightly (more in tune with other drivers though), idle is the same. Shifting is a huge difference though. I clutch-less shift, so the wait between gears is a lot less. This is where the gain is, less time out of gear. I wouldn't recommend it without a short shifter, even then you have to be faster. It does take some getting used to, I stalled it more times than I care to think about the first week. If you drive in town, its a plus, highway mainly, not so much.

I love the 1 piece fiberglass front end, who is the manufacturer, whats the cost and I see it isn't a tilt? Can you post a few pics of it open and or off?
Also the Billet (underdrive) crank pulley, who is the manufacturer, whats the cost?
I have checked before for the pulleys and get stuck with no real info as to the fit on the VX.
Thanks Dennis

Feb-March update posted

Dennis- Sorry for the delay, personal life has been crazy.

No idea who made it. Paid $200 of CL for it. Tilt adds weight, and costs $. Neither one of those help my goals. I'll take pics next time I pull it.

The pulley is an ebay unit. for piece of mind, I did some checks on it at work (ultrasound, roundness, balance), and it checked out.
