So was there any reason for this or the government just decide one day they were not going to allow people to build their own trailers?
I have spent hours searching the US news articles for trailer accidents and as far as I can tell most of the accidents have been from people not knowing how to attach a trailer to a vehicle one way or another and not using safety chains. A few were grossly over loaded crashed because they couldn't stop. And fewer were due to a wheel falling off.
