Very interesting the project but...
- there was a honda civic coupe (and a sedan version) by far more aerodynamic than the hatchback.
- honda civic crash safety before 2001 (under 4 euroncap stars
Honda Civic | Euro NCAP - For safer cars crash test safety rating) seems to me like not the best choice for a every day or a track car (without rollcage, etc.).
I drove the car Honda Civic Coupe Lsi 125 cv and it was a missile and very cheap to fill up and use every day doing 40.000 kms a year (24.000 milles/year). I remember to have better milleage than most of the diesels with that power. And it was one of the car shapes i liked most, but i think that safety is a very big issue. So in my family we sold the 96 Honda Civic Coupe, the 97 Honda CRV, the 97 Honda Prelude, the 97 Honda Accord (5th gen, European Model) althought they were full equiped, reliable, pretty, sporty to drive and better fuel economy. But it sounds crazy driving anything without 5 stars Euroncap, ESP, lots of airbags, (4 stars if second hand).
