The Wellington had a frame constructed in a geodetic pattern. This made it light, able to take a lot of damage and made it quick to produce. It bombed Berlin when a certain rum cove with an odd choice in tache design said it was not possible.

The Wellington was rendered obsolete when a clever boffin looked at what a bomber was meant to do (ie. carry lots of bombs very fast) and created the Lancaster which was superb and emits a noise so masculine that squirrels have been known to salute....
