Agreed - the Vitara probably works better where you live though

I thought the Mosquito had a geodetic airframe. I guess that was the Wellington?

The Wellington had a frame constructed in a geodetic pattern. This made it light, able to take a lot of damage and made it quick to produce. It bombed Berlin when a certain rum cove with an odd choice in tache design said it was not possible.

The Wellington was rendered obsolete when a clever boffin looked at what a bomber was meant to do (ie. carry lots of bombs very fast) and created the Lancaster which was superb and emits a noise so masculine that squirrels have been known to salute....

When a tree falls on a wooden geodesic dome, it breaks the tree.

But I like Duralumin, too. Maybe geodetic construction will return when the zepplins rise again. Did you know pure steam has a lifting power approx. equal to Helium?

Yes, but it cools quickly and loses lift. Helium doesn't.

EDIT - Airships would be cool.

Gotta agree with that. My dad keeps complaining that the pavement in the most important streets from my hometown, and almost all the highways in Rio Grande do Sul, have the same pavement from when he had my current age. Anyway, since I like off-roading, I'm sure a Vitara would work better for me than a Fabia, plus I wouldn't have to deal with my dad whining about my intention to get a 125cc dirt-bike

If you can kill lift during gound handling, then that's a feature, not a bug. Here's a website from ~2002: The Flying Kettle Project - balloons and airships filled with steam!

I got my 2000 Insight less than a month ago, so I'm content with that and the Prius for now. An EV would be fun, the Spark EV looks pretty good. Wonder how long it'll take for them to drop below $10k used...

The wait is about to end, as I pick up the new car on friday. First time in my life I buy a brand new car, so I'm pretty exited....

The dealer has kindly lend me a car for free for the month I had to wait for the new one. A yaris 1,0 2013, 3. cylinder.

When I've taken posession I'll start a thread about the Yaris Hybrid.
