Nuclear power plants only provide 20% of electrical power to the grid.
This can be easily replaced in a couple of years by solar, wind, geothermal and natural gas. The greed of less than 10% of Americans are ready to destroy the air, water and land for the privilege of hoarding more monetary funds in their offshore accounts while eons of our descendants suffer the hell. It is going to take 30-40 years to fix Fukushima. It is time to follow Germany's plan to dismantle, not build more.
The Canary Islands sluff off massive amounts of it's mountains every so many years and it has hit the East Coast in the distant past with tidal waves that can go inland for over 100 miles. This would cause another Fukushima disaster.
