I will also mention I agree with the point that your goals are not exactly in line with the common goal of this site. It's okay to be different, but one shouldn't expect a huge following for being outside of the goal. You did mention you just didn't want to LOSE mileage, you didn't care for a gain. It's no big deal, it's just that some experienced users may not want to get involved.

Personally, I think it's a huge waste. If it was a brand new car, or slightly used, in an area where it could last a while, and it was insured- sure, but personally, I wouldn't want to put so much money into it. But that's up to you, most people here will only invest in something for a pay off, even if it is slight (I have a $700 aluminum drive shaft in my Insight right now to save ~15 lbs lol).

I hope you stay involved with the pursuit for improved efficiency, but learn from this experience- it's okay to disagree, but the method can be worse than the issue at hand.

I think you're both wrong
I agree. You guys have made some good points, I'm just going to stick with cheaper, MPG boosting mods and save up for a different car that I can do 'looks' to later.

On the other subject, yes I do feel bad for using such language now. I have no excuses and I do apologize to any members that were offended, especially Kachi.

With that being said, would a kammback work on my model of car? I only ever see it used with hachback cars, so I'm not sure it works on a sedan. I also got my gauges installed yesterday, and I think the grill block is going to have to come off, in city driving I'm seeing ~225-230F on my coolant temps, which if I remember correctly reading on this forum, is way to high. The vacuum gauge confuses me though, I guess I will just have to learn it.
