Ya my carb'd '86 Accord was the same way, never had a problem at all. Can't say I am a big fan of these pre '88 Civic setups though, they always seem to be grouchy whenever I drive one around. My '87 has taken to actually leaking out through what I assume is the bottom of the accelerator pump on the carb, and this is after we tightened up the finger tight float bowl screws. The car only has 175k KMs on it, how is the carb literally falling apart?? I've been trying to find a rebuild kit for it, if I can I will do a basic rebuild on it and see what happens. If that fails, it's either getting a Weber conversion or getting run back through the auction!
