A clean little '12 Leaf with 15k KMs (9k miles).
And when was the last time you saw one of these? A first gen Saturn SC! '92 with 256k KMs (158k miles), it was even a 5 speed.

I'm curious to know what that Leaf goes for, if you're around when it sells.

When we were in Japan, we could get a Previa with a blower and AWD. Really wanted to bring one, or the turbo diesel back to the US...

WARNING!! These are some disturbing images, not suitable for lovers of clean old eco-cars!
I hate going to the salvage auction as I always see some little car there that I want to rescue, but by the time you put a salvage car back on the road here it's just too much time and money to be worth it on a cheap car. But I had to go there today to look at an F350, and sure enough, there was this:
'91 Si with 149k KMs (92k miles). Ya it's an Si, and an automatic, but it's sooooo clean, and my favorite colour combo even! Even had new tires. The hit is high enough that I could fix it with parts from my parts wagon, but man it just ain't worth it around here. What a shame.

If it hadn't been an automatic, I would have needed two tissues instead of just one for the tears.

Spotted a Fisker Karma in white at the Costco two days ago.

Someone on this site was interested to find out that you could get a 4th gen Si in Canada with an automatic, I think it was Some_Other_Dave? Well whoever you were (sorry I forgot), here's a prime example of a Canadian Si automatic car. 1.6L, factory sunroof, 14 inch wheels with Si wheelcovers, twin tailpipes and sport interior, - and ya it's a real shame about the lack of a third pedal, my parts car is even the same colour so I wouldn't need to paint any of the parts I swapped over. If this thing was a wagon I'd buy it anyway for the mystical "one day..." VX swap.

This one is sad, '86 Civic Wagovan, 5 speed, 206k kms (128k miles), new BFG tires even, but the clutch is out of it. It'll go from that spot to the scrap yard, they won't even bother trying to auction it. Seeing as I have only managed to get my only other carb'd Civic to make it all of about 7 miles without it stalling or acting up, I'm actually not in a big hurry to try and rescue this thing. If it was 2 years newer though, that'd be a different story!

Sadface.
Amazingly, the only ever problem I had with my carbed '89 Accord with a million miles of vacuum tubing under the hood was carb icing on freezing, wet days (because I never replaced the rusted-away intake pre-heat manifold shield).

Ya my carb'd '86 Accord was the same way, never had a problem at all. Can't say I am a big fan of these pre '88 Civic setups though, they always seem to be grouchy whenever I drive one around. My '87 has taken to actually leaking out through what I assume is the bottom of the accelerator pump on the carb, and this is after we tightened up the finger tight float bowl screws. The car only has 175k KMs on it, how is the carb literally falling apart?? I've been trying to find a rebuild kit for it, if I can I will do a basic rebuild on it and see what happens. If that fails, it's either getting a Weber conversion or getting run back through the auction!
