is using slush cheating?
For months I've been working on coming to a stop sign without braking.
I finally was able to get it done 2 trips in a row. I'm not talking about the exact same spot, but a fair batter's box if you will.
The 1st one I was actually held back from over run as there is a slight uphill
lip as the 2 roads meet which caught my car.
The 2nd one was further back, more standard looking.
Both runs were different. ( day, night, some grocery weight, other was
truck delivering trip luggage weight, one pavement dry, 2nd was wet)
So I finally got some real snow here about 2-3 weeks back.
This side road was plowed, but not perfect. About 30 yards from getting
to the stop sign, was still a 50 yard packed snow area, which I observed
going in the opposite direction as I started a short stopping trip.
So on this #3 great run, I remembered the packed patch, and tried to determine shift out of gear line, but gave the patch too much credit,
my speed too great so I angled into the shoulder slush to brake without
using my brake.
My question: Did I violate the pureness of how I am to stop, or would you think any acceptable braking outside of using my brake is ok?
I DID CREATE DRAG, that ugly word by my lateral doings.
Whatcha think?
