I had an 86 WS6 TA, 305 TPI Peanut Cam, used to be on Thirdgen.org.

I even have articles from Car & Driver about the Gale Banks 200 mph speed run.
If I'm remembering correctly, the e-fan didn't come until '85 and only the H.O. 305 got it until the next year. Mine came with a clutch fan though. Started out as the powerhouse 145hp LG4. It was swapped latter for the H.O. L69 and the ECM was carried over along with the e-fan. It ran almost like a stout 350 if you can believe it. Now it's got a 400 small block from a '72 Caprice. Fully worked over with pretty much a peanut cam. Dual fans from the 98-02 f-body (same p/n as C5 Corvette) and everything is controlled by a 2003 Corvette PCM. Low speed fans at 210° and high speed at 220°, I think that's how I set them.

I've seen that Gale Banks 'bird before online. Didn't it weigh over 5,000 lbs to combat lift at those speeds?
