Command (clover shape) + C for copy, and Command + V for paste. I prefer Command + X, which is cut, because I clearly see it worked by the text disappearing.
I hate macintosh. Sadly, if windows 8 is my only option for my next notebook, I may not have an option [other than macintosh].
