This thread should learn yall a lesson.
A new person came here and said they replaced a 8 year old air filter with a brand new kn and yall poo-pooed the idea. I bet you a new kn filter beats a dirty paper filter any day. Anyone replace the dirty filter with a new clean paper and test, then a kn and test?
Furthermore how can a kn filter be more restrictive if it lets fine particles into the engine?
And if the oil fouls the sensor would it read rich therefore run leaner?
Me, I got a car with a dirty air filter after 5 thousand miles and a new one costs 20 bucks, kn cost 30-40. Its a no brainer to get the one Ill never see again for the life of the car. Hell, you cant find a filter for the insight at any auto store, but you can a kn.
