Got my tax returns back, so today I ordered an UltraGauge for the car.
I've been trying out basic hypermiling techniques and usually keep the RPM's under 2500 while cruising, shifting around 2000. I've done more driving-with-load than anything but there are a few nice stretches on my regular commute for some engine-off coasting. According to the pump and odo, 46mpg the last few tanks.
The way people drive around here is horrible though, I feel like I'm gonna be run off the road even doing a solid 60mph in the right lane. Even at 9-10pm at night, you'd think I83 is the Autobahn. I'll probably be investing in some red reflective tape...
