just like going from road tires to mountain bike tires on a bicycle, it takes a lot of energy to spin up that extra weight.

I'm still happy that I'm solidly getting above EPA ratings
my commute isn't the best for fuel economy
(60 miles total, 50 miles 2 lane 60-65mph, including several thousand feet of elevation change)
