this car (to ME) is about saving money (so I can spend it on things that matter more to me)
I can't afford to put expensive wheels/tires on it

Every little bit can make a difference

I'm still happy that I'm solidly getting above EPA ratings

my commute isn't the best for fuel economy
(60 miles total, 50 miles 2 lane 60-65mph, including several thousand feet of elevation change)

For someone who doesn't have that SMUG deal, that would be the only reason ever to lurk about buying a Prius

I consider myself a "car guy"
I am always reading about cars (normally under the context of performance)

this is the 1st 4cyl (non turbo) that I've owned in over 15 years

in order to counter the SMUG
I've been contemplating some non stereotypical (prius) stickers for the car

including (but not limited to):

"EARTH FIRST
we'll log the other planets later"

and a windshield banner (Printed in reverse)
"SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT"

probably not appreciated as much by the crowd around here

as you can see,

I still use a lot of fuel
I've had the car for a month, and I've filled it up 6 times
