Help! missing pcv valve!

I've been getting oil in the air filter and it was pretty soaked. So i opened up the engine cover, and i have a gaping open hole where the pcv valve should be! Nothing is there, and i couldn't even find the hose that should connect to it. So i look around and i find the hose wrapped around the the bottom of the engine and pulled between the engine pulleys and belt. The hose is sliced open from the friction of being pulled into there.

Should i stop driving the car till it's fixed? Have i been damaging the engine by driving it with an open hole where the pcv valve should be for goodness know how many hundreds of miles?
