this thread, we figured out basically the same thing. While yours is a hybrid, I think this part of the wiring is the same with our conventional Civics. I was concerned with cutting that particular wire because I wasn't sure if it would kill the immobilizer circuit also.
Any trouble with it when you kill the engine? Do you need to key off/key on in order to restart?
