More lately I've been thinking about a body kit that would mimic the Porshe Carrera GT between the axlelines.
The rear scoop would be moved back to allow the squared off door and it would consist of a rocker panel/lower door fill panel and three pieces that would replace the stock chrome trim. If they were solid and structural they could serve as external anti-intrusion devices. One more reason why it's a good idea.
