I've wanted to do this mod for some time, but...

I can tell when my cooling fan turns on because the temp on my UltraGauge will go from 215 F down to 195 F in a hurry, and then slowly start creeping back up again. I also have an alarm set that warns me when I go above 209 F.

At least 1 fan runs all of the time when I have the AC on. This also keeps the coolant temps well below the 215 F threshold when both fans kick on high.
