They do get stuck. Pulling my stepper motor out and turning the odo slightly fixed mine. Be very very very (notice trend) careful not to overtighten the through screws on the circuit board. They're attached to hair-like wires that will snap.

I got the sticker from Honda Parts Direct, and you are right, I think it cost me like $32 :/ but I wanted it to be OEM, so I'll pay it!
