One of the reasons I personally think the Japanese manufacturers have lost most of their "edge" in building cars, like us they have moved most of their manufacturing to other countries and the quality is just not quite the same as those built in Japan.

The '06 isn't in the same generation though is it? And I agree with the build quality, it just isn't as good as it used to be sadly.
