A few hundred years ago great dismal Swamp in virginia was drained as much possible.

LOL, except the mosquitoes and we still have PUHHLENTY of those parasites.

My great uncle, Cecil C. Crockett was mayor of Vinton, just outside of Roanoke in 1939. He lived on a farm on top of a hill and used to run 2 miles a day even into his seventies. Best Crow caller in the state.
