Thanks for all the info. I purchased the Yokhama Avid Ascend tires. Drove them 2200 miles from PA to Nashville, TN (with some off-highway exploring) and back. Funny thing is, we stayed in Roanoke, VA on the way there and back. Ironic.

LOL, except the mosquitoes and we still have PUHHLENTY of those parasites.

My great uncle, Cecil C. Crockett was mayor of Vinton, just outside of Roanoke in 1939. He lived on a farm on top of a hill and used to run 2 miles a day even into his seventies. Best Crow caller in the state.

They are not even broke in yet.
Chech the pressure as the side wall does expand some in the first week or so of being installed.

To go thin you need a new rim, So it goes , I am currently seeking some narrow rims for that very purpose.
