I am new in this area of pulse and glide, even if I was looking for good fuel consumption till now. Since I have found this site, I have tried to teach more about hypermiling, and today I made my first trip with P&G, in neutral. I was on a flat road, a national road, how is called in Romnai, where the speed limit is 50kph in villages and 90 kph outside. I tried 80/60kph pulse and glide, in fourth gear, because I have a diesel, and the consumption was very good comparing with the ongoing route. My question is about the functionality of the clutch and the possible problems with it, because I coast in neutral, at idle rpm, press the clutch, shifting 4 gear, when the speed is around 60kph! Most of the roads are like this, the traffic isnt so high, so I can afford to do this, but not being sure if is OK!
