Just got my own 1.8L MT cruze. It's nice so far, this thing rides like a Cadillac. So quiet and solid. It's heavy, though... I really notice that on hills. I wish they would have dropped some of the crap on the base model, like the theft light and the 10 airbags. Who needs 10 airbags?
First mod I'm planning is lighter wheels. Those steel wheels must be heavy and they look like crap. That's a guaranteed mpg improvement for $400.
I'm averaging 28mpg so far in hilly city driving. Pretty good...
